The loction was great. Expensive for a budget hotel.
Rooms a bit compact for 3 adults but that is what we booked. We stayed at the Hampton during the Easter time and although the rooms are small the excellent service makes up for any shortfall, especially the attention and care we received by Teresa was just outstanding. Teresa looked after us all even at breakfast time, as The location was great easy access to the train station, fifteen minutes to Gatwick airport and central London.
Near all the shops and restaurants. The room was a little on the small side for 3 adults not a lot of room space.
Otherwise the bed and pillows where very comfortable. Great breakfast every morning and lovely staff. Recently had a 1 night stay at this hotel as the location worked for me.
As others have said it is close to East Croydon train station and also tram stop, so connection wise is pretty good. I generally enjoy staying in hotels and often Breakfast was rather nice, but would of liked to see more staff around to clear plates etc. Not loads of staff on property I saw, room was clean but by window it was rather dirty - seeing as we had a room with a view.
The rooms are always clean and smart. There's a lot of food available nearby. Perfect location for me - near my office and near the train. One of the cleaner and more friendly hotels in Croydon. Tea, instant coffee, sugar and kettle in the room makes it easy to get started on the day.
As far as I can tell, one can't buy a fillet steak in Croydon. The areas outside the lifts are always stuffy in this hotel except on the ground floor. Bathroom mirror light not working - they clearly don't have the team communication they need.
The hotel is very handy for Easy Croydon station - right next to it. The guy on check-in was friendly when I arrived. The room is compact but perfectly fine for a night. It was clean and had a good iron in the room. The food, the comfortable bed and amazing shower! Sufficient towels and lovely sofa. The fact that only half the shower was protected from water ending up on the floor.
The manager responded and said she was sending me a company for a night at a hotel I won't come back to , and distill haven't gotten anything. Our room was perfect for what we needed for one night. The beds were so uncomfortable and the pillows appalling.
The place has everything you need during your stay, the environment is great. Food could have been better and Staff should be proactive. I missed normal cheese and those croissants in the breakfast. Also vegetable instead of greasy sausages and bacon. The Food I ordered was not good at all.. Very comfortable bed and overall very clean, slight dust on the blinds and windowsill though.
No kitchen staff available to assist at breakfast time They come out just to check the food and clear tables and doesn't even say Hi: This is Hilton hotel not Travelodge so I was expecting more from staff.
Not enough food choices was expecting full English breakfast.
And staff at reception they are very welcomingat but no assistance or anything, they just stood at the counters just doing paperwork aren't they suppose to escort people and show how the card works?
Or assist and explain how to find their way through? Not everyone knows how that card thing works on the lift and the door through their rooms. The manager on duty was very helpful and went out his way to make sure our room was ready even though we are early at check-in. Bathroom was cleaned every day during our 4 nights stay.
Beds were made and clean towels provided. If you have to stay in Croydon, then Im not sure youre going to get anywhere fancy but this place should be satisfactory. The room is nice enough although small, and with Guest did not comment for this item. Staff very friendly and the location television was very poor.
Just English channel and Changing the channels were very slow and some channels were missing. I stayed for 2 nights and was hoping of a comfortable television to relax.
The staff were lovely The room was tiny.
This hotel has definitely gone down hill from our past experiences, and we will certainly not visit it again. Free breakfast and they have Bravo. The square feet of private South facing screened pool area includes a pool which is 35ft x 15ft, patio area and large covered porch which backs onto a lake is the largest on Hampton Lakes and perfect for your enjoyment with a 6 seater Jacuzzi and gas BBQ and ample seats and sun beds for your entire party.
No where to put clothes and no where to put suitcases as there were 3 of us in the room. The beds were so uncomfortable and the pillows appalling. Staffs especially at the reception and restaurant were very rude. In the Washroom - toilet seat and inside was unclean.
We were surprised that the room was quite small and didn't have a bar fridge. Staff were friendly and flexible. Breakfast was done well. Food refreshed frequently and good mix of choice. Good service nothing too much for staff to help you Disliked: Good location, staff friendly, room was small and we had to ask to make the extra bed up.
Parking was expensive through hotel but we found a cheaper alternative 2 minutes away. Restaurants just round the corner same with train station. Wi-Fi and extemly good bed linen. Everything is okay with me and my partner in our room. I can only say, the internet should be improved so that you can use more internet than one tablets in the room.
Good Value for money Disliked: The room was smelling like cats pee. Small but functional layout. Food menu is very limited and what I would did order was served lukewarm.
Air conditioning unit in the room only blew out cold air. Called down to reception and no one came to look at it, despite being promised.
This is a good value, business-focused hotel. The rooms are not large but have modern shower-rooms, a desk big enough to do some work on and comfortable beds. It's clean and breakfast is included in the price. It's not the place for you if you're looking for a hotel with "personality" but was exactly what I needed for a weekend seeing friends. The staff are very friend and accommodating.
The door pad was broken so took over 30 minutes to access our room after we had put our bags in. The bed was really uncomfortable and looked like something jack had built in a shed. I stayed here last night and frankly it was not too bad! It felt clean Decent walk in shower comfortable bed Pillows were a bit small though Iron and hairdryer present Good size television on wall which left more room to put your stuff around the. Everything Inapplicable Rated 3.
